Christmas & New Year's

Back to some form of Jay's question... What's everyone doing for Christmas and New Year's?

I will be working until who knows when on Christmas Eve and then driving down to my parent's house in Carroll. I think I will be somewhere in Iowa around New Year's. Those plans aren't very finalized yet... Or are we getting together to make puppy chow again this year, Rebs? ;) :)

It occurs to me that I may be scaring people off with that strange comment above. Let me say that it's just a silly reference to something that Rebecca and I thought was funny one time in high school, and she may not even remember it at this point...but I'm a dork and so I had to bring it up again. Ah well - such is my life!

fear not, jay! i remember it well, and even got a laugh out of it. as to whether or not anyone else remembers it....suffice it to say that jay and i were (are??) huge computer nerds and enjoy making our machines sing random things to us.

ps....jay, 10 extra pts. to me for using RANDOM in my response!! ;) now i'm gonna go see if i can get my computer to count to 20 for me. maybe i'll even get some extra credit points!

Well done, Queen of all Randomness! I bask in your random glory...And in the case of this nerd, yes, ARE is the correct tense of my computer nerdiness!

Well I think I will be back near the O-town for Christmas. But I have to work again on monday so I'll be leaving town Sunday.

To any of those who are interested, Jeff B. will be back on the 24th of December through the ?? of Jan.
He doesn't know it yet, but He might be coming to Harlan for New Year's.

Anne, I didn't know your parents lived in Carroll. That's not too far from Harlan. Just up 59, and then over on 30 a bit.

Well I should get to work. Take care all, and all you educators enjoy the break.

Happy Holidays.

cheers,

Yep, good 'ol Carroll. They (we) moved there right after I graduated from Osky. It's a nice little town. How do you like living in Harlan?

Harlan is nice. Small town though. No Wal-mart, but we have Pamida!! Two grocery stores, Fareway and Hy-vee. The movie theatre here is kinda small, but it has four screens!! So that's way more movies than the ole' Penn centre!!

Not too far from Omaha. (about 30-40 miles).
90 min. from Des Moines

home to some 9 state football titles (maybe ten now).

so that's that.

I'll actually be in Iowa from Christmas Eve until New Year's Day. Brent has some family near Cedar Rapids that we may go visit, but most of the time we'll probably be hanging around my parent's place. So when the novetly of Oskaloosa inevitably wears off...

Well that settles it. If Dana is actually able to grace the midwest with her presence, then we must do something!

Cow-tipping, anyone??

Well I'll do the dirty part of asking the question that begs to be asked: Now that it's two days till new year's eve, how many are actually going to be around Osky (or some other fun and exciting town where people might congregate), and of those, how many are willing to/interested in getting together? Ok, so that was a two or three part question, even dirtier!
