Our dear friend Jay allowed me to beg to be included in this little slice o' heaven on the web after I foolishy brushed it aside after his generous initial offer. In any case, I'm no longer lurking in the shadows, but I'm pretty sure I should have asked what the initiaion is first.

Hmmm...initiation. What could we do...? Oh who am I kidding. My closest brush with an initiation was some dumb clarinet reed mumbo jumbo in marching band. I might be able to mail you some extra spicy hot sauce from Taco John's, though...

Good call on the hot sauce though! The trumpet initiation was pretty fun.
Jay- I think the clarinet initiation was just a lame copy of the trumpet initiation. The seniors baked or soaked clarinet reeds in some spicy concoction and had us play with them during a practice for an hour (I think). But this was the kicker...wait for it...WITHOUT TAKING A DRINK!!! Ahhhh! Oh no!!!! Ok, I'm getting a little dramatic. But you get the idea.

Understandable that people would try to copy The Trumpets though... ;)
