aaron warwick

hey guys

i was home for the football game this last weekend, and i ran into aaron warwick, so i thought i'd pass along his news to everyone. he's married to a girl named gwen that he met at creighton, and they're expecting a baby in about a month!! he seems really excited about it. they don't know if it's a boy or a girl, but aaron thinks it's a boy. also, i asked him if he went to the reunion, and he said "what reunion?" so i guess the word didn't get out quite as well as it should have. he said he'd see me at the 10-year, so hopefully whoever's in charge will get the info out to everyone a little better in the next 5 years. :)

have a good week!

Thanks for that update Rebecca. At first I thought Aaron had gotten on the site and was posting something! Although that would be weird for him to name the posting after himself... That is so crazy how everyone is having babies now. I think he's been married for a while, though. And at least he's out of school now(?).

How's school? Work=No fun.

Who all has had babies? I can only think of one other person. Am I that out of the loop?

Where are the Warwicks living, then? I'm impressed that you saw him at a football game. I didn't think anyone still went to anything anymore. While I haven't been to a game this year, I have been to every marching band competition so far!

I can report that Sarah Voss is married and has a baby now, too. I saw her at the reunion. Same goes for Melissa Whats-her-name-blond-girl-who-played-clarinet, and Katie Lofgren (who gets my award for person-who-attended-OHS-the-fewest-years-but-still-made-it-to-the-reunion).

Well, Angie Nicholson has two, and we all know Lisa (Bruxvoort) Peck had a baby recently. I'm sure there's more, but I think it's just my "whoa!" response to all these baby announcements. I still feel to young to be a parent.

I thought Katy Lofgren went to OHS all four years...?

I agree - too young!! Babies having babies, tsk tsk tsk...

Angie has two? I didn't know she had one! I guess neither of them were at the reunion - she must've left them with the husband?...

I thought that Katie L. had moved after freshman or sophomore year - I'll feel really bad if I just didn't notice her the last two years of school...

(I love elipses...)

Yeah, Angie has two daughters...Kirsten and Aleigha. I'm assuming from your comment that she was at the reunion. I'm guessing that her kids weren't with her husband...they got a divorce a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure Katy Lofgren was in our Heritage class. Wasn't she? And I thought her family moved before her senior year, but she got to stay to finish out school. Maybe I'm wrong.

ok, i guess we've all learned the dangers of blogs now...thanks for showing us the ropes once again, jay! ;) yeah, i was just as surprised as anyone that aaron (or anyone else, for that matter) made it to the homecoming game. and let the record show that i was not there for the homecoming game per se, i was there to watch my little brother play.

anyhow...i just read the reunion list that jay posted...why wasn't ed pierson at the reunion? i saw him at a football game some weeks back....he's married now, too, apparently. i think he's living in osky still, and working....somewhere....don't really know/remember.

now for my turn to hang my head in embarrassment...i saw beth smith at wal-mart on saturday (she was my checker-person), and we had a nice chat about where our lives have taken us. she asked me if i had finished school, and i told her i'm in winterset, and she remarked that she had lived a few years in adel and then moved back to osky. here's the embarrassing part, though....i'm pretty sure her name card said "beth c." but at the time i couldn't remember what her last name was in high school, so i didn't want to ask her if she was married or whatever....anyway, i had the hardest time remembering her name until i came home and dug out my yearbook. so, at least all that work i put in during high school has actually been worth something......i guess.

I do happen to know about Eddie. He went to Indian Hills and DMAC, I believe, for accounting. He has been working at an accounting firm in Oskaloosa for about 2 years now. He did get married this summer, in August. I was actually a groomsman. The ceremony took place at the bandstand on the square - it was pretty neat! I had never heard of anyone doing that before. I talked to Ed about going to the reunion. He was not able to make it because he had his wisdom teeth removed the day before, so he was still out of it! Just goes to show you, kids, don't wait that long to have major oral surgery!
