yep, for those of you who aren't aware, i now live in picturesque madison county, home of the famous bridges (not to mention a sultry love affair that made them famous) AND the home of john wayne (which is less than a block away from my house! ooh, the excitement.

Where's the Pontiac commercial picture??
Have you toured the John Wayne house? That's pretty exciting. I can boast of living a mile away from the home of Bix Beiderbecke! Know him? Didn't think so. He was a famous ragtime/jazz type cornet player in the 20's, I think. Died at the age of like 26 or something. There's an annual festival here in the Quad Cities with jazz and a road race (don't ask me what running has to do with him!)
