Here's Elwood in our snowstorm - my dogs were much happier about it than I was! Working at a hospital and being "essential personell" pretty much eliminates the snow day possibility, so snow storms have lost much of their appeal! Posted by Hello

Yeah, I guess Elwood looks happy...other than the satanic beady red eyes! ;) Kinda reminds me of the Vampire-Pomeranian puppy in Blade: Trinity (just saw it yesterday so I'm in vampire mode).

How much snow did you get? I miss having snow days too! I was driving to work last week and I saw all these kids out sledding and I wanted to stop and do it too!

well, i don't want to sound like the pessimist of our little group here, but let me just tell you how bad snow days can be. yes, it's nice to have a day off once and a while, yes it's nice to sleep in.....but 4 days in a row is just crap, man! i can't take the solitude anymore! we had last monday through thursday off (like most of the rest of the state, i think)...and then yesterday we had a 2-hour delay (the ideal situation if you ask me - you get to sleep in, but it still counts as a day of school), and then today we were off again!! seriously, this is getting ridiculous! the des moines schools are scheduled to go until june 13 now. luckily we've only extended to the 7th, but still, that's crazy! and who knows what the rest of the winter holds...

You must not be as lazy as I am - four days at home sounds just fine! :) But I got an Xbox for Christmas, so I would probably occupy my time trying to learn how to actually play the games right.

Reb: Ohhhhhh, I feel soooo bad for you, having to work in the SUMMER! :) Just kidding - it's just that about 80% of my friends are teachers and I now I have to take crap from them every summer about how they get to relax for 3 months while I'm working...lol.

T.K.: I'm with you! I love being lazy...what games do you play on XBox? Do you have an online account? Can I destroy you in Halo2 some time? ;P

At least you all HAVE snow!! We have squat up here, but still have to suffer through the arctic temperatures! I think snow might make that a little more bearable or understandable or something.

However, I should also remember that I don't get snow days anymore-- I'd just have to drive through the stuff with a bunch of idiots during rush hour....RATS!
