Year of the Cyclone

How about those clones?!! Can't believe it.

Now if the Cardinals can just keep up the good play and win the series it would be a completely good year.

This weekend was absolutely awful. No touchdowns and losses for both the Hawkeyes and the Packers - I cried myself to sleep...

Good - you Hawkeyes are never very forgiving, so I'm going to revel in our victory!

i'm seriously not trying to rub anything in anyone's face, but i have to let you all know about my perfect trifecta of weekend football! first, osky beat pella on friday, 27-3! it was fantastic! they really played well. then, yeah to ia state on saturday, enough said. :) and finally, sunday brought about a surprising chiefs victory (29 seconds away from a shutout!) against the jets. so, although jay was crying into his pillow, i was barely able to sleep from all my excitement! maybe it will make me feel better next time i am wallowing in misery to think about the other half of the football world who is rejoicing. probably not, but it's a nice thought just the same.

Living in Big 10 country, I took every opportunity to revel in the magnificent Iowa State victory and point out the numerous Big 10 losses from Saturday! AND enjoy the decent news article about the game in the paper. I think living in a state with zero pro sports is way better than the non-stop, over-the-top Vikings hoopla that goes on up here!!

Hooray for Osky on the win over Pella! Nice touchdown shut out!

Wish I could have been there, or even seen it on TV, but sadly the nearest place to watch the game would have required a drive to Ohio.

Apparently no one in the "Mid Atlantic" (I think that's what they call themselves) region seems to care about Iowa athletics.

Actually, I'm not sure how many people know where Iowa is. I had one guy ask me if I missed Canada. Apparently he confused Iowa with Ottawa...

Go Iowa State! Go Cardinals! Who, the last time I checked, had the best record in baseball.

Indeed they do (the cards, have the best record). Now if they can just finish the job. . .
