random iowa city sighting...

so. i was walking across campus today, and guess who i ran into...

if you guessed grant hirl (yeah, right...you didn't guess that!), you're right!

i didn't have much time to talk to him because i was already late to class, but he did have enough time to tell me that he's graduating with his BS (BA?) in political science in december. he said he took a little time off so he could follow the 7 1/2 year plan (has it really been that long???). he's apparently living with his brother luke, who's also graduating in december. so anyway, there's your "random person i'd almost forgotten about" moment for the day.

SNOW!!!

Head to the grocery store to stock up on milk and bread! Close the schools! Drive no faster than 5 mph and yet still manage to slam into the car in front of you!

Oh wait, I'm not in North Carolina any more...

Happy Birthday, Robert!

In honor of our birthday boy, I think we should all take the day off, go to the nearest bakery and treat ourselves to a big piece of cake.

Have a good one!

Ankeny marching band competition

Just curious if anyone will be going to Ankeny this weekend? Brian, Maya and I will be going, and it would be great to meet up. Dameon's band (Williamsburg) is playing at 6:34, so we'll definitely be there in time to watch that.

Pumpkin Patch

Tonight, we went to Vala's Pumpkin Patch with my pharmacy classmates. Its in a small town outside of Omaha, and it has lots of fun fall things to do, such as a hayride, haunted house, and a campfire (which we didn't need, since it was hot!). Maya had a really good time, meeting many new people and walking around outside taking in all of the sights. We even picked out a pumpkin to bring home and carve!
